Sky Oaks Elementary School is a school serving kindergarten through sixth grade. As of the 2009-10 school year, 561 students attended Sky Oaks Elementary School. The school hosts a student population that differs significantly from the district it serves; it's the only minority-majority elementary school in the city of Burnsville. However, it is one of two minority-majority elementary schools in the district. The other minority-majority elementary school is Hidden Valley Elementary School (in Savage), which is 46% Caucasian.[4] Students of color represented 57% of the Sky Oaks' student population in the 2009-10 school year.
